The Swedish Women’s Lobby has, together with the Norwegian Women’s lobby, recommended the Norwegian foreign ministry to nominate Anne Hellbum as Norway’s representative in the CEDAW-committee.
The Norwegian foreign ministry is to suggest a new representative for the CEDAW-committee and we have now, together with our Norwegian sister organization, recommended they choose Anne Hellum, professor at the institute of public law at Oslo University. We believe Anne Hellum is the best possible candidate and after several years with male representatives for the Nordic region it is time for a woman!
Read more about our motivations for nominating Hellum here.
