Our member organizations

The umbrella of the Swedish Women’s Lobby gather 46 member organizations with the mutual aim to improve the status of women in the Swedish society. Being a member of the Swedish Women’s Lobby is to make your voice heard!

Membership is given to non-governmental women’s organizations that have at least 80 % female members, a democratic basis and are politically independent. The member organizations shall accept and act for the purposes of the Swedish Women’s Lobby. 

Other organizations or individuals who support the purpose of the Swedish Women’s Lobby are welcome as supporting members. Contact us for more information info@sverigeskvinnolobby.se.

Anna Women’s Shelter

Anna Women’s Shelter work for women’s and children’s right to live a life free from violence, oppression and humiliation. They offer shelter and conduct training and advocacy. Anna Women’s Shelter is a member of Unizon.

Association For Women’s Rights

The Association For Women’s Rights work to counter cultural and sexual oppression of women and youth. They work by social support, advocacy and to put pressure on authorities and political assemblies.

Bosnia and Herzegovina Women’s Association in Sweden

Bosnia and Herzegovina Women’s Association in Sweden (BHKRF) is the leading organization for Bosnian women outside of Bosnia and Herzegovina. BHKRF work for gender equality, inclusion, diversity and democracy amongst other issues.

Business and Professional Women, Sweden

Business and Professional Women Sweden is a network working for gender equality, especially in the work place. They work locally, nationally and internationally.

Christian & Woman

Christian & Woman’s main aim is to actualize the implications of being a woman and a christian in the world today.

Doris Film

Doris Film work for a gender equal film industry. They produce short films and educate pedagogues in norm critique.

Everything is possible – Media Watch Group

Everything is possible – Media Watch Group is a network that review, inform and participate in debates on issues of how people are fabricated in mass media.

Female Integrity

Female Integrity works to prevent violence and abuse of women, and to end the tradition of genital mutilation on women.

Forum – Women and Disability in Sweden

Forum – Women and Disability in Sweden work against all types of discrimination, threat and violence against women and girls with disabilities.

Födelsehuset (The Birth House)

Födelsehuset – “The Birth House” – is a NGO that works to influence and improve obstetric care. The association was founded by parents, midwives and doulas. Födelsehuset works for a holistic aproach and continuity of care during pregnancy, childbirth and infancy.

Green Women

Green Women is an non-political, religiously independent, feminist association with focus on gender and environment. They work to put political parties and other associations on a feminist green path.

International Women’s Union

International Women’s Union works for gender equality, diversity, cultural knowledge and diverse integration and to increase women’s entrepreneurship. They have local sections all over Sweden that address women of all nationalities.

KVAST – The Association of Swedish Women Composers

The Association of Swedish Women Composers (KVAST) is a nonprofit organization with the mission to raise awareness for and increase the programming of music by women composers. KVAST work to bring music by women composers to a wider audience: in concert halls, on experimental stages, in auditoriums and musical venues of all kinds, throughout Sweden and around the world.

Maktsalongen

Maktsalongen (the power saloon) works with gender equality in the civil society, mainly through mentor programs and networks for women in leading positions in the young civil society. Maktsalongen also runs a program in which organizations receive support in its work on gender equality.

Malmö Gender Equality Bureau

Malmö Gender Equality Bureau rest on a feminist and norm critical foundation and work with gender issues from a rights perspective. Their vision is an equal society. They work to form public opinions, change attitudes and increase knowledge on gender equality.

Mälardalens Women’s Lobby

Mälardalens Women’s Lobby are based in Västerås and work for gender equality and a democratic society where women and men have the same opportunities and responsibilities. Their aim is to ensure that a gender perspective is integrated in all political, economic and social contexts.

Soroptomist International Sweden

Soroptomist International Sweden is one of the largest, non-political, independent women’s associations in the world. They contribute to strengthen women’s position globally, nationally and locally through a strong network of working women.

Swedish Ecumenical Women’s Council

Swedish Ecumenical Women’s Council is a forum for christian women. They work with gender equality and women’s participation in leadership roles and decision making positions in churches and christian communities.

Swedish Women’s Council, SweQ

SweQ spread information about gender equality. At the moment they focus on how international gender equality commitments are implemented locally.

 

Swedish Women’s European Network, SKEN

SKEN is a non-governmental association for women interested in issues regarding the European Union. They work as a forum for discussion and experience exchange through debates, lectures, information and study visits.

The 1.6 Million Club

The 1.6 Million Club work to spread information about women’s health issues and to integrate a women’s perspective in medical research and educations.

The Dea Society for Women’s Museums in Sweden

The Dea Society for Women’s Museums in Sweden aim to found a public museum for women’s history in Sweden. The museum shall show the contributions women have made to private life, the work place, arts and society.

The Delta Kappa Gamma Society Sweden

The Delta Kappa Gamma Society Sweden’s role is to support professional and personal development among female educators and to promote high quality education.

The Left Federation of Swedish Women

The Left Federation of Swedish Women is a non-political, feminist and pacifist women’s rights association leaning to the left. They work for gender equality, peace and solidarity between people, groups and nations.

The Fredrika Bremer Association

The Fredrika Bremer Association work for a society where women and men live in partnership – where we share the responsibilities in our homes, at work and in society in general.

The National Organisation for Women’s Shelters and Young Women’s Shelters in Sweden, Roks

The National Organisation for Women’s Shelters and Young Women’s Shelters in Sweden, Roks, has about 100 shelters where women, girls and children can escape men’s violence. They also inform and spread knowledge about the reality that they meet.

The Swedish Association of University Women

The Swedish Association of University Women is an organization for women with advanced academic education that aim at building an academic network where women and young researchers can find inspiration and encouragement.

The Swedish Federation of Immigrant Women’s Associations – RIFFI

RIFFI is an umbrella organization that gather around 30 sections throughout the country. RIFFI is engaged in issues regarding women’s immigration and female refugees globally and in Sweden.

The Swedish Medical Women’s Association

The Swedish Medical Women’s Association organize female doctors and doctor students. They aim to investigate female doctors reality concerning work place, work environment, research and education from a gender perspective.

The Women’s Association of Kurdistan in Sweden

The Women’s Association of Kurdistan in Sweden works for integration of Kurdish women in the Swedish society and to prevent discrimination and racism. The organization consists of member organisations all over Sweden.

The Women’s Front in Sweden

The Women’s Front in Sweden work to highlight women’s experiences and the conditions of women’s everyday life. They fight the oppression of women and strive towards women’s liberation.

The Women’s Lobby in the Örebro Region

The Women’s Lobby in the Örebro Region work to increase women’s positions at the work place and in society at large, as well as to promote gender equality in the Örebro region.

Together Association

Together is an association of and for victims of sexual violence in any form. By creating a community for individuals who have suffered from sexual violence, and by strengthening each other, they want to be a force for change. Together they fight for a society free from sexual violence.

TRIS – girls rights in society

TRIS is a politically and religiously independent non-profit organization working against honor-related violence and oppression. TRIS work primarily with prevention and to increase awareness of the issues.

United Women

United Women are located in Jönköping and work for gender equality and to improve women’s integration in the Swedish society. United Women want to create a better understanding and respect for other people through multicultural meetings.

Unizon

Unizon is a national organization with over 120 shelters for women and girls. They work to prevent and put an end to men’s violence against women.

Varken Hora eller Kuvad (VHEK)

VHEK is the Swedish section of the international association Ni Putes Ni Soumises, founded in Paris 2003. VHEK is a feminist and anti-racist grassroot movement with a democratic foundation.

Winnet Sweden

Winnet Sweden work to highlight and increase the knowledge of women’s participation in societal development and economic growth. They work with partnership and networking as a method at all levels.

Women Can

Women can works for equal rights for women and men. They mainly work with seminars, networking and mentor programs.

Women Church of Sweden

Women Church of Sweden is an association for all women who are involved in the church of Sweden, spiritually searching or interested in Christianity.

Wift Sweden

WIFT Sverige, Women in Film and Television in Sweden, is a network for professional women in film, TV and new media. They work for greater representation of women on canvas and screen. WIFT also work with advocacy and to influence the structures to become more representative.

Women in Skaraborg

The association Women in Skaraborg works for gender equality and development for women and business in the region of Skaraborg.

Women’s Baltic Peacebuilding Initiative

Women’s Baltic Peacebuilding Initiative works for human security, justice and sustainable peace and development by claiming gender equality and female leadership in these issues. In solidarity and cooperation with women’s organizations in the Baltic Sea region, they work to prevent violence and armed conflicts.

Women’s forum for construction

Women’s forum for construction (Kvinnors byggforum) is a nationwide network of competent women in the construction industry. They share experiences, inspire each other and discuss planning construction and management issues from a power perspective. The association is politically independent and has existed for more than 30 years.

Women’s Forum in the National Association of Finns in Sweden

Women’s Forum in the National Association of Finns in Sweden act as a forum for minority issues and leisure activities for Finnish women and their associations in Sweden.

 

Women’s Organisations Committee on Alcohol and Drug Issues, KSAN

KSAN is a platform for women’s associations in Sweden for issues regarding alcohol, drugs and addictive medical products. Their work is preventive and they work with girls and women of all ages.
